Maniac Cop (1988)
🔥 35th Anniversary
More mystery, thriller, and even drama components than I expected -- actually gave the movie some good depth.

Sleepaway Camp (1983)
🔥 40th Anniversary
I know this movie is a "cult classic" or whatever, but it is hot garbage.😂
I'm glad I didn't bother saving it for my Halloween Horrorthon.
The composition of most of the scenes sucks; the character interactions and dialogue are so forced and unnatural; the acting is terrible, and half of the actors that are supposed to be "kids" are probably old enough to drink... it's just painful to watch.
Then my husband's like, "well we have to watch the 2nd one now", and I couldn't even make it 10 minutes into it. 😂 I didn't want to waste any more of my life.

Strait-Jacket (1964)
Wow, Joan Crawford is something else!
This was a really enjoyable watch, much suspense.

The Funhouse (1981)
Tobe Hooper repeats Texas Chainsaw Massacre, just in a carnival setting this time 🤷 i.e. mentally twisted family, deformed adult son who has been abused and is now physically strong and dangerous, group of teenaged interlopers, you get the idea.

There's Nothing Out There (1991)
This movie is the epitome of "dumb but fun". 😂
There are actually some impressive-for-low-budget practical effects deaths, but the monster is definitely hokey in a hilarious way. The fifth-wheel friend's meta exasperation at their all being trapped in a horror film was enjoyable.
