This was very disappointing.
Not scary; boring; seemed more like a Scary Movie spoof than the original version of one of my favorite horror movies. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance: I couldn't even finish it, only got about 1/3 of the way through. From what I did watch, it appears the 2004 American remake used the original storyline and structure, just made it 1000-times more scary and interesting.

Even more atmospheric and story-driven than the 2004 version, same amount of jump-scares. But their use of the "spectres" was not as effective as the original -- too...overt. Not quite subtle enough to be the same level of creepy.
