Witchboard (1986)

Nothing to write home about with this one, but an interesting thing happened with my dog while watching: She reacted more to this movie than I've ever seen her react to anything on the television before, lol. Specifically to the "David" ghost voice scenes, and the graveyard with the dog barking the whole time. She was very concerned πŸ€”πŸ˜†

Trick or Treat (1986)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2023 #47

Halloween night, final movie of October Horrorthon 2023!

This was better than I expected! (what I expected was an 80's trainwreck, lol)  I would actually watch this again sometime.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2023 #15 & #16 πŸ”₯ 35th Anniversary

Tonight's pizza movie night double-feature is brought to me by Friday the 13th, with recommendations from my Facebook horror group.πŸ’€

While researching, I realized for the first time that *8* Friday the 13th films were released 1980-1989, that's almost 1 per year! Seems like that alone would make Jason the king of 80's slashers. πŸ‘‘

Night of the Creeps (1986)

Loooong day. So tonight I just wanted to watch something stupidπŸ‘ and funπŸ‘ and 80'sπŸ‘ -- Night of the Creeps scratched that itch πŸ’―πŸ˜†πŸ’€

Chopping Mall (1986)

Killer robots running amok in peak-era 80's mall! with no real explanation, just: a lightning storm happens. Who cares! Kooky ridiculousness ensues! Broken glass! Unnecessary crawling! LASERS!

Troll (1986)

Not too much horror, really, dollars-to-donuts... more fantasy adventure... but it's ridiculous and fun. I love all the greasy, drippy, grotesque little doofy muppet creatures.πŸ˜† Watch "Harry Potter Jr." (try to) save the day!

Dolls (1986)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2021 #37 πŸ”₯ 35th Anniversary

This was stoooooooooopid. It was composed like and played like an After School Special, complete with tinkling soundtrack. Its only saving grace was when the dolls attacked with tiny knives, axes, saws, guns, and pitchforks, and when the dolls were crunched there were gross, sticky little people skeletons inside.

Maximum Overdrive (1986)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2021 #22 πŸ”₯ 35th Anniversary

Stephen King did a damn good job directing this, with music by AC/DC (including score) -- still hits like a John Carpenter flick, IMHO, lol... must be the generation.πŸ˜†
