The Endless (2017)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2023 #10

This was VERY interesting! Requires a lot of paying attention and thinking, but it's worth it. If you liked the TV show "Lost", you would probably like this movie. Not anything too gory, the horror is mostly psychological.

Resurrection (2022)

This was hard to watch, but in a Cape Fear 1991, Invisible Man 2020, kinda way -- psychological horror TOπŸ‘THEπŸ‘MAXπŸ‘

How much anxiety do you WANT to have??
Because of you're a woman, it's gonna be A LOT.

Nightmare Cinema (2018)

Ranging from stupid to ridiculous to lame, get ready for bad stunt doubles and all-around absurdity. The only story even remotely worth watching was the 4th one about the mother.

Jack Goes Home (2016)

HOOOOO BOY, this was way more art-house than I was expecting. For about the first 50 minutes, it was all drama drama drama, and I'm wondering how is this a horror movie? Then he finally goes into the attic and finds The Box, and everything just goes berserk from there.

⚠️ Definite trigger warnings for survivors of sexual assault and abuse.

The Invisible Man (2020)

I usually avoid watching horror movies in September to cleanse my palate for October Horrorthon, and that's what I was trying to do with this new Invisible Man remake: I thought it was just a sci-fi thriller... but wow, this movie is hella disturbing.

The version I watched on Amazon must be recently restored (says released 2018), looks great. (can't speak for the free YouTube version, tho)

What Lies Beneath (2000)

πŸŽƒ Horrorthon 2018 #9

Just barely horror... but I like psychological thrillers just fine, too.
