The Shed (2019)

Modern-day spin on the classic vampire tale. It was just OK. My son (G) and I agreed: there were a few parts that were great, but not quite enough to elevate the whole film to "good" -- but for opposing reasons...
I thought it was too heavy-handed with the characters' personal dramas, could have used more levity for sure.
G thinks it didn't take itself serious ENOUGH to tip it into "so bad it's good" territory.

The Blob (1988)

Went on a monster movie bender: Tremors, Jaws, Rodan... then realized I've never seen The Blob remake, even though I really like the Steve McQueen original (enough to own a DVD copy).

So totally worth watching! Fantastic remake! Really expanded the horror of the organism, and great practical effects.
