Why was I avoiding this?! I could've watched this so long ago! Fantastic concept (remake of 2001 Japanese film Kairo) and top-notch execution.

Killer robots running amok in peak-era 80's mall! with no real explanation, just: a lightning storm happens. Who cares! Kooky ridiculousness ensues! Broken glass! Unnecessary crawling! LASERS!

This was really fun, well done, great cast!
Although they really missed a nostalgic opportunity to play Mick Smiley's "Magic" when the mountain erupted with ghosts, IMHO.

Young Meg Tilly, and a whole lotta panning around a mausoleum, Phantasm-style. The reanimated corpses were neat, each one so unique like rotting flowers.😆 Otherwise nothing to write home about.

Solid slasher flick. Nothing groundbreaking (and the lead actress was a bit of a ham in places), but along with a deranged hooded stalker: the plot was intriguing, the setting was creepy, and there were plenty of both delusion horrors and actual horrors.

Not too much horror, really, dollars-to-donuts... more fantasy adventure... but it's ridiculous and fun. I love all the greasy, drippy, grotesque little doofy muppet creatures.😆 Watch "Harry Potter Jr." (try to) save the day!

I started this movie fully expecting a stinking pile, but it turned out to be pretty good! Cool unfolding mystery, including a trip to a creepy, burnt-out, witchcraft-cult basement; and it got me with jump-scares several times.
I will most likely recommend this to others. 👍

Campy slasher with some (very young) familiar faces.
Fun fact: Tom Savini passed up Friday the 13th Part 2 to work on this movie instead.
